Six People, Three Children Seriously Injured In Route 31 Crash: Njsp

Three juveniles were injured in a car crash late in the evening on Saturday, Feb. 24 on Route 31 in in Hunterdon County, state police said.

At 11:02 p.m., a Ford pickup truck traveling northbound entered the southbound lane of travel and collided with the front of a Subaru SUV traveling southbound at milepost 39.4 in Hampton Boro, Troy McNair, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. 

As a result of the crash, the driver of the Ford sustained moderate injuries and was transported to an area hospital, McNair said. The driver and front passenger of the Subaru sustained moderate injuries and were transported to an area hospital, McNair said. 

Three juveniles sitting in the back of the Subaru sustained serious injuries, McNair said. One was transported to an area hospital via an ambulance and two were flown, McNair said.

The crash remains under investigation, McNair said.
